About Lagnesh

Lagnesh is a free Vedic astrology web app built on classical Parashari principles. It calculates your birth chart (Kundali) using the Lahiri ayanamsha and renders it in the North Indian diamond style. From there, you get Vimshottari Dasha with all three levels, divisional charts (D9, D10, D7), Ashtakavarga with bindu tables, yoga detection, Sade Sati status, current transits, and Varshaphal (annual chart) — all for free.

Our Mission

Jyotish — the science of light — has been practiced in India for millennia. But for most people, accessing a proper Kundali reading meant finding an astrologer, paying a fee, and hoping the calculation was done correctly. Lagnesh removes that barrier. You enter your birth details and get a mathematically precise chart with all the classical parameters in seconds.

We believe the calculations should be free, transparent, and available to everyone. The AI-powered readings — which let you ask specific questions about your chart — are an optional enhancement, not a gate. You can use the chart, dasha tables, Ashtakavarga, and all other features without ever paying.

What We Do Differently

• Full chart transparency. Every number is computed from astronomical algorithms. No hidden calculations, no vague guesses. You see exact planetary longitudes, nakshatra positions, and bindu counts.
• AI readings with guardrails. The AI is instructed to reference your actual chart data — planets, signs, houses, dasha periods — and to avoid fatalistic or fear-mongering predictions. It gives you thoughtful analysis, not scary pronouncements.
• Privacy first. No accounts, no login, no stored data. All chart calculations run in your browser. Birth data never leaves your device.

The Technology

Lagnesh runs entirely in your browser. Planetary positions are calculated client-side using simplified Schlyter-based algorithms with Lahiri ayanamsha correction. AI readings are powered by a Cloudflare Worker using Workers AI, with rate limiting to keep the service sustainable. No data is stored on our servers — your chart exists only in your browser session.

AI Disclaimer

The readings you receive from Lagnesh's AI chat are generated by a language model, not a human astrologer. While the chart calculations (planetary positions, Dasha periods, Ashtakavarga, divisional charts) are mathematically precise, the interpretations are AI-generated and may contain inaccuracies or oversimplifications. The model has been instructed to follow classical Parashari guidelines and to avoid fatalistic or deterministic predictions, but it can still make mistakes.
